Il fatto che non scriva più di mal di schiena non significa che non abbia più mal di schiena. Purtroppo. Ieri mattina, domenica, psicodramma: frustrazione, lacrime, sensazione di ineluttabilità del destino. Lentamente mi sono ripreso, ma non sono stato di gran compagnia lungo tutta la giornata. E’ questo forse il punto più problematico: il mal di schiena in se è un dolore sopportabile, ma sono gli strascichi che questo dolore porta nelle relazioni interpersonali a fare più danni. Nervosismo, ipersensibilità , bassa autostima. Non male, vero?

Però è affabile e sembra cogliere subito il problema. Usa uno grande specchio quadrettato per evidenziare un’apparente diversa lunghezza delle gambe. Ah, se vi volete bene e non siete proprio in formissima, evitate di specchiarvi su una superficie con i quadretti: vedrete le mulze uscire dai riquadri quel tanto che basta per perdere quel poco di autostima che vi resta. Divago. Insomma, gambe asimmetriche significa necessità di plantare. E dieta associata: niente verdure a foglie larghe e mezzo limone spremuto ogni mattina. Che poi uno non può fare a meno di pensare che lo stiano prendendo in giro, no?
Eppure, il miracolo: dopo una settimana il dolore si affievolisce. Quasi scompare. Sono ancora là che penso al modo migliore per festeggiare quando, prima lievemente, poi più forte, il dolore ritorna. Uguale. Preciso. A volte più intenso di prima. Niente da fare. Due sedute (molto onesto, dai) da 50 euro l’una. Totale 100 euro. Totale globale 1330 euro.
8 – Il luminare francese
Da più di un anno un’amica mi racconta i mirabolanti risultati raggiunti da uno specialista francese che opera nei pressi di Modena. Ha operato la sorella dell’amica dopo che questa aveva sofferto per anni di mal di schiena e nessuno aveva saputo darle una soluzione. Non so se ha fatto più leva su di me l’elemento psicosomatico (”nessuno le credeva“), quello tecnologico (”le hanno messo dischi in titanio“) o il name dropping (”ha curato anche Alberto Tomba“). Arriva il fatidico giorno. Trieste-Modena in auto, bel viaggetto. Arrivo poco prima dell’orario previsto. La prima impressione non è positiva: ambulatorio stracolmo di gente, confusione, caldo. Ma la prima impressione spesso è sbagliata, dai. Aspetto un’ora abbondante oltre alle previsioni. Poi, finalmente, è il mio turno. Entro in una stanzetta minuscola dove c’è una segretaria. Mi chiede i dati e aspettiamo un po’. Da una porticina laterale entra lui. Silenzioso, tranquillo. E’ circondato da un’aura di sapienza. Sono in buone mani. Mi fa spiegare il problema, mentre esamina le lastre e la TAC. Finito il racconto (4 minuti), mi fa togliere la camicia. “Si pieghi a destra. Ora a sinistra. Ora in avanti”. Silenzio. Ancora silenzio. “Guardi, lei non ha niente che non vada”. Un po’ allarmato controbatto che in realtà sono più di due anni che mi fa male. Risposta: “Son doloretti, vedrà a 50anni“. Sorride, fa un cenno con la testa e esce.
Ora devo ammettere che da quel momento in poi i miei ricordi si fanno un po’ nebulosi. Credo, ma magari mi sbaglio, di aver cominciato a emettere fumo dalle narici. Ricordo, circa, di aver pagato senza batter ciglio qualcosa come 180 euro. Ho il sospetto, ma non ci giurerei, di aver ipotizzato l’uso di molotov e bombe carta all’indirizzo dell’ambulatorio.
Le poche certezze sono che se nominate il luminare francese in mia presenza non rispondo delle mie azioni e che il totale globale è salito ancora: 180 euro di visita + 100 euro di trasferta = 280 euro. Totale globale 1610 euro.
